This 1975 BMW 530i is a true sleeper, featuring a 3.6-liter S38B36 inline-six sourced from an E34 M5, paired with a Getrag 265 five-speed manual transmission. The engine was rebuilt by Precision Sport Industries and is controlled by a Bosch Motronic 2.1 engine management system. It also benefits from an E34 M5 oil cooler, ensuring optimal performance. The car is equipped with Bilstein dampers, adjustable sway bars, and 635CSi strut housings, offering a performance-oriented suspension setup, while four-wheel disc brakes from the 635CSi ensure strong stopping power. The car sits on 14” BBS Mahle wheels, wrapped in Michelin Defender tires for excellent grip. The Getrag 265 transmission was also rebuilt by Metric Mechanic, and the rear features a 3.64:1 limited-slip differential and Bosch Motronic speed sensor. The exhaust system features E34 M5 exhaust manifolds, stainless steel center pipes, and a Billy Boat muffler for a refined sound. The exterior is finished in Golf Yellow, with enhancements including a modified front spoiler, a composite rear trunk spoiler, and lightweight hood and trunk lid. Additional touches include yellow fog lights and a center-exit exhaust. Inside, the car features black cloth Scheel-Mann front seats, with rear seats reupholstered to match. The interior includes gray wool carpeting, a replacement headliner, R134a-converted air conditioning, and wood trim. The dash features a European-market 8k-rpm tachometer and a 635CSi 260-km/h speedometer, complemented by a Becker Grand Prix radio and a leather-wrapped Italvolante steering wheel.
