This 1973 Triumph TR6 has undergone an extensive refurbishment, transforming it into a thoroughly restored and updated example of this iconic British roadster. The car is finished in a crisp white exterior with replacement stainless-steel bumpers, MacGregor Bristleflex door seals, and a black fabric soft top. A set of Konig Rewind 16" wheels, wrapped in Yokohama Avid ENVigor tires, provides a modern touch to the classic design. The car’s body was stripped and refinished in a basecoat/clear coat process, and a replacement frame from a 1974 TR6 was sourced, sandblasted, coated in POR-15, and reinstalled. Additional exterior upgrades include halogen headlights, a front spoiler, chrome bullet-style mirrors, and quad polished exhaust tips. The interior features a complete reupholstery with Miata high-back bucket seats that have been reupholstered and mounted using custom Patton Machine mounts. Other cabin upgrades include a Bubinga wood-veneer dashboard housing rebuilt Smiths gauges, a RetroSound stereo, Triumph-branded floor mats, and custom seat belts. The ignition switch has been relocated to the center control bezel for a more modern feel. Powering the TR6 is a 2.5L inline-six engine that was bored .030" over during a comprehensive overhaul. The engine received a variety of performance parts, including Wishbone Classics stainless-steel exhaust valves, a ported intake manifold, and a high-performance ignition coil. The engine is mated to a rebuilt four-speed manual transmission with a new Fidanza flywheel and Borg & Beck clutch assembly. A newly overhauled rear differential and a Stebro stainless-steel exhaust system complement the powertrain. The suspension and steering have been extensively rebuilt, including the addition of an Addco rear sway bar, Goodparts lowering springs, and a range of other upgraded suspension components. The brakes have been fully serviced, with rebuilt front calipers, new pads, and replaced master cylinder, wheel cylinders, and brake lines.
