This 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A coupe is one of approximately 2,400 produced to homologate the model for competition in the SCCA’s Trans-Am series. T/A-specific equipment included a flat-black fiberglass hood with a functional scoop as well as a rear spoiler, longitudinal black stripes, uprated suspension components, and a side-outlet dual exhaust system. The car is finished in Top Banana (FY1) with a matte-black fiberglass hood with a raised intake scoop as well as blacked-out headlight and taillight panels that were standard on the T/A. Matching black stripes accent the bodysides, and further exterior details include yellow inboard headlight lenses, chrome bumpers, front and rear spoilers, and chrome exhaust finishers ahead of each rear wheel.
