One of only 1,628 built—and just 338 in this highly sought-after Bright Yellow with Black interior combination—this is a rare collector’s Mustang, even rarer than the 1970 models. Under the satin black hood sits the original 290-horsepower 302 V8 with a strengthened 4-bolt main block, forged rods and crank, specialized cylinder heads, aluminum high-rise intake, and a Holley 750 CFM carburetor. Power is sent through the original four-speed close-ratio manual transmission to a stout 9” rear end with 3.50 gears, paired with factory front disc brakes. This well-preserved car has been garage kept and restored where needed, including an engine rebuild.
