This 1967 Toyota 2000GT is one of only 351 examples built during its three-year production run, representing Toyota’s first true supercar and a landmark in Japanese automotive history. Finished in Solar Red over a black vinyl interior, it features a right-hand-drive cockpit. The 2000GT is powered by a 1,988cc DOHC inline-six with hemispherical combustion chambers, breathing through triple Mikuni-Solex 40 PHH carburetors. Power is routed to the rear wheels through a five-speed all-synchromesh manual transmission with a limited-slip differential. Exterior highlights include hand-assembled bodywork atop a steel X-shaped backbone frame, contoured roofline under 46” in height, pop-up headlights, driving lamps integrated into the nose, bullet-style fender mirrors, and louvered hood panels. The body was refinished in Solar Red with replated brightwork, and magnesium alloy wheels with knock-off hubs are fitted with period-correct 165HR15 Vredestein Sprint Classic tires. The right-hand-drive interior features black vinyl with knitted seat inserts, wood veneer dash and console accents, a wooden shift knob, L-shaped handbrake lever, locking glovebox, storage behind the seats, and Jeco timepieces including a clock and dual-faced rally timer. Instrumentation includes a 250-km/h speedometer, 7,000-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, oil and coolant temperature, and amperage, along with a pushbutton AM radio.
