The 1965 TVR Griffith 400 is a rare and iconic example of British-American automotive engineering, combining the lightweight, fiberglass bodywork of TVR with the raw power of a Ford 289 Hi-Po V8 engine. This is one of only 59 examples produced. Finished in a stunning Opalescent Gunmetal Grey—a color originally used by Jaguar—this Griffith 400 has been beautifully restored both inside and out. The exterior features classic styling elements such as chrome split bumpers, Ford Cortina Mark I-sourced taillights, and Talbot-style mirrors, with a vented hood and fenders that evoke its racing heritage. The car is powered by a 289ci OHV Hi-Po Ford V8 engine, producing an impressive 271 horsepower at 5,900 rpm. This engine is paired with a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission, which offers a smooth and engaging driving experience. The car also features Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes, ensuring reliable stopping power, and its lightweight construction is enhanced by 14” Minilite magnesium wheels. The independent front suspension and live rear axle are designed for both performance and agility, making the Griffith 400 an exceptional driver’s car.
