The 1950 Nash Rambler Airflyte Convertible Landau, built in Kenosha, Wisconsin, was the first model of America’s compact car era. Produced only as a convertible, just 9,330 units were made. Featuring Nash’s innovative Airflyte unibody design, the Rambler used rigid door and window frames with a fabric top, reducing weight and cost while improving efficiency. This model marked a milestone in economical car design before Nash merged with Hudson in 1954 to form the American Motors Corporation (AMC).
