This Mercedes-Benz SSK “Count Trossi” re-creation features hand-formed bodywork finished in black, styled after the original 1930s racing roadster with nacelle-style fenders, a boattail rear profile, low-cut cabin sides, and a louvered hood. The exterior is detailed with Marchal Trilux headlights, leather hood straps, a two-piece windshield with a chrome-plated brass frame, a triple-element rear light in a stainless-steel bezel, and black-painted 18-inch wire wheels secured by two-eared knock-offs, mounted with 6.00/6.50 Excelsior Comp H tires. A matching spare is stored in the rear compartment, and Wilwood four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes with proportioning valve provide modern stopping power. Under the hood, the 3.0-liter M186 inline-six, sourced from a 1953 Mercedes-Benz 300, features a single overhead camshaft, twin Solex carburetors, an external water pump, and a Bosch dynamo, sending power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The car rides on solid axles with semi-elliptical leaf springs at each end, and steering is managed via a brass worm-and-sector box. Triple corrugated external header tubes feed a single fishtail-style exhaust. Inside, the cockpit accommodates two with a black pleated leather bench seat and matching leather over the side panels and upper dashboard edge. The machine-turned dashboard holds a 200-km/h speedometer, 4,000-rpm tachometer, Junghans clock, and auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, amperage, fuel level, fuel pressure, and coolant temperature. Additional features include black rubber floor mats and a polished shift knob.
