The 1956 Mercury Montclair Phaeton Hardtop Sedan is a rare mid-year model produced only from mid-1956 to November, replacing the Sport Sedan. It features a 312 ci Y-block V8 with a 4-barrel carburetor and dual exhausts, paired with a Merc-O-Matic three-speed automatic transmission and 12-volt electrical system. Finished in a striking Flo-Tone white over dark green with a white and black vinyl/cloth interior, it offers power steering, split front bench seat, rear fold-down armrest, rear fender skirts, heater, and AM radio.
